In addition to our annual convention in November, the St. Louis BJD Convention staff also hosts a spring meet up. We just can't wait a whole year to see everyone again!
Last year we hosted our Spring Fling on the Saturday after Memorial Day and we had an excursion to the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Festival as a Sunday activity as well.
This year, we've chosen the same weekend, and we've added more fun!
Saturday, May 30th 2015
Location: OBC
Theme: Neverland
That's right, the Dolly Roger has sailed into the waters surrounding the land of Peter Pan and his Lost Boys. Neverland, HO! Dress your dolls as Pirates, Pixies, Lost Boys, Natives, and Mermaids! Costuming is also encouraged for humans. There will be several photo areas catering to our theme, and a photo booth area where you can pose with your dolls.
Sales!
This year we're inviting merchants to peddle their wares, and if you'd like to sell some doll items we also will have a community sale table.
Prizes!
There will be several ways to contribute to the St. Louis BJD Convention. Our committee has been combing local shops and the internet for awesome doll furniture items and spectacular doll items, so there will be lots of opportunities to help out!
Charity Dollar Table!
We are also having our Dollar Table to benefit the OBC food pantry. Donators get first dibs on the items available on the table, so be sure to bring some doll-oriented swag for the table!
Donations of non-perishable food items and personal care products are also welcome; the OBC food pantry tries to help those in need in many ways.
